The Atlas Advance is an indoor transfer aid that offers extra support when helping someone to stand or sit. Its adjustable knee pads and non-slip platform give carers and users a steadier, more comfortable transfer. Designed to be easy to move and position, the Atlas Advance has a four-bar system that helps people of different heights to rise more comfortably while carers provide a counterbalance for safety.
Key benefits
- Improved standing support – adjustable knee pads help the user find a stable position to push up from a seated posture.
- Safer transfers – a non-slip platform and central wheel lock reduce slipping and movement while transferring.
- Greater independence – the four-bar system lets users find a comfortable grip height to assist their own standing where able.
- Easy to manoeuvre – four castors plus central wheels make short transfers and repositioning straightforward indoors.
- Comfort for longer use – contoured, padded knee pads are width and height adjustable for better comfort.
Who is this for?

- People who can grasp handles, bear their own weight and maintain balance with support.
- Care homes, assisted living settings and domestic carers needing a compact transfer aid.
Detailed description
The Atlas Advance is a Patient Turner built for indoor transfers and offers intentional support during seated-to-standing movements. The frame features a unique four-bar system so users of different heights can find a comfortable handhold, and the standing platform has a non-slip surface to reduce the chance of feet slipping when rising. For safety, the carer should act as a counterbalance during transfers and the user must be able to grasp the handles, understand instructions and bear their own weight for the transfer to be safe.
Comfort is prioritised with contoured, padded dual knee pads that adjust both in height and width to suit the user and reduce pressure under the knees. The platform is low for easy access and includes a toilet cut-out to help with personal care needs. Mobility is aided by four castors and two central wheels; one of the central wheels offers a central wheel lock feature to stabilise the unit when you need it to stay put.
The Atlas Advance is straightforward to handle and set up. It comes ready for indoor use and is easy to assemble without tools, with an optional handling safety belt available to increase confidence during transfers. The overall build encourages users to remain active where possible by providing steady, adjustable support during standing and lowering into a seat.
