The Orbital Transfer Platform is a straightforward patient turner built for reliable, repeatable seated transfers. The unit features a hand-operated locking mechanism that allows a carer to rotate and lock the platform into one of five positions, giving precise control over movement. A non-slip turn disc provides grip for the user and rotates smoothly in both directions, while counterbalance points add extra stability during turning.

For additional support, the platform includes a PU-padded knee support that clamps onto the two rear rails without tools and can be height-adjusted to suit different users. The knee support is 350mm wide, and the pad height measures 160mm, helping to secure the lower legs during a turn. Clamping is tool-free for quick fitting and adjustment by the carer.

Built from high-tensile steel, the frame gives strength without excessive bulk and the curved support frame helps to reduce the risk of falls by keeping the user better contained during transfer. Two rubber castors provide smooth manoeuvring, and the unit has housekeeping wheels so it can be relocated easily when not in use. The platform is compact in footprint and intended for everyday use where safe, weight-bearing transfers are needed.
