The Oxford Journey Stand Aid focuses on portability and day-to-day practicality. Its compact folding design lets the unit fold down to a small footprint, with a folded height of 525mm and folded depth of 1040mm for easy storage and transport. The overall build remains straightforward to handle, so it is suitable for carers who need to move the aid between rooms or take it in a vehicle.

Comfort and adaptability are central to the Journey's layout. The aid features an adjustable cow-horn to suit a wide range of user heights, and a contoured, height-adjustable knee pad that helps keep the lower legs supported during transfer. Attachment heights range from 720mm up to 1530mm, giving carers flexibility when setting the aid up for different users.

Moving and positioning the stand aid is straightforward thanks to its castor and leg arrangement. It runs on front twin 75mm castors and rear braked 100mm castors, and the turning radius of 1145mm helps with manoeuvring in tighter areas. The legs fold and open to change the footprint; when closed the unit is more compact for storage, and when open it gives a stable base for transfers.

Maintenance and reliability are supported by the fitted Smart™ Monitor control system, which records actuator activity and prompts for key maintenance when needed. The Journey has a safe working load of 155 kg and weighs 40.2 kg, and it includes a 5 year manufacturer's warranty to provide long-term reassurance for purchasers.
