The Alerta Emerald Auto Overlay is built around 5-inch air cells that deliver alternating pressure to help redistribute load and reduce prolonged pressure on vulnerable areas. It is intended for use in clinical and care settings, including hospital, nursing and care home use, and fits a standard bed at 200 x 90 x 12.7 cm. The overlay sits on top of an existing mattress to provide targeted pressure relief while keeping bedding arrangements familiar for the user.

At the heart of the system is a fully automatic weight sensing technology and an intelligent pump that continuously adjusts interface pressures to match the user’s weight and position. The pump uses SensaCare Truflo Technology® to maintain ultra-low interface pressure, and you can choose between alternating and static modes as well as a Max firm mode when additional support is required. Cycle times are user-adjustable at 10, 15, 20 or 25 minutes to suit individual needs.

Practical details help with daily use and maintenance. The overlay has independently removable cells and a pillow function for local comfort adjustments, while a 360° zipper and securing straps keep the mattress stable on the bed. For transport and storage there is a zipped storage bag, and the pump includes hanging brackets plus tidy mains cable management to keep the area organised.
