The Apollo 5 Premium Airflow Mattress is expertly designed to provide outstanding comfort and pressure relief for users at medium to high risk of developing pressure ulcers, and is also suitable for those with existing tissue damage, ranging from grade 1 to grade 4. Ideal for use in care homes, hospitals, or homecare environments, this mattress is paired with a robust, long-lasting pump that is simple to operate and built for years of reliable service. The system offers manual weight adjustment to adapt to the user’s body shape and position, ensuring effective and personalised pressure care. Featuring 18 individual air cells, it delivers dynamic alternating therapy to lower interface pressure and gently stimulate capillary flow. A standout feature is its humidity management system, which helps prevent skin maceration and tissue breakdown. The mattress comes complete with a removable, zipped PU cover that resists fluid ingress and internal contamination, supporting infection control. For ease of maintenance, the cover can be wiped clean or machine washed at up to 95°C. In the event of an emergency, the Apollo 5 includes a rapid deflation (CPR) function, allowing quick access to the patient when needed.
