This Heavy Duty Wheelchair comes with a 20" (510 mm) wide seat on a chrome-plated steel frame that uses a double crossbar for extra strength. The frame and reinforcement aim to give a reassuringly solid feel while seated, and the chair is specified to support a maximum user weight of 140 kg (22 stone).

Comfort is enhanced through the use of reinforced double-thickness upholstery and moulded armrests. The armrests are detachable to help with front and sideways transfers, and the footrests are swing-away so you can move them out of the way when getting in or out.

For outdoor stability the wheelchair has 600 mm (24") solid rear wheels paired with 200 mm (8") solid front wheels, which provide a steady ride without the need to worry about punctures. Braking is straightforward with easy push-to-lock wheel brakes to hold the chair steady during transfers or when you want to rest.

Practical everyday use is supported by a frame that folds for storage and transport, making it easier to store at home or carry in a car boot. The chair weighs around 24 kg so it is substantial but still manageable when stowing. Warranty cover includes one year on parts and two years on the frame.
