The Heavy Duty Self-Propelled Wheelchair is built from heavy-gauge steel tubing with double crossbars to increase strength and stability for everyday use. The seating uses reinforced double-thickness upholstery to give a supportive sitting surface that is hardwearing. Large 24" rear wheels make self-propulsion easier and help the chair roll smoothly over typical indoor and outdoor surfaces.

Comfort and transfers have been considered with moulded detachable armrests that remove for safer side transfers and flip-away or swing-away footrests that clear a pathway for legs. The push-to-lock wheel brakes keep the chair fixed in place when you need it to, and you can choose between a folding back for easier storage or a fixed back for a simpler, stable frame.

Finish and usability include a chrome-plated steel frame and stainless steel skirt guards on some models, plus wipe-clean seat fabric to keep everyday maintenance straightforward.
