This is a memory foam pressure cushion built in layers to balance comfort with support. The top layer is a castellated gel memory foam that conforms to the body to reduce local peaks of pressure, while an inner foam centre adds resilience. A sturdy high‑density base gives overall stability so the cushion holds its shape during transfers and regular use.

The cushion is supplied with a vapour‑permeable PU cover that allows some airflow while repelling liquid. The cover is multi‑stretch for ease of repositioning on seats, and it is waterproof to protect the internal foam from spills. The cover is also described as antimicrobial and is machine washable, which helps keep the cushion hygienic in care environments.

Sized to fit most standard chairs and wheelchairs, the Sensaflex 300 measures approximately 430 mm by 430 mm with a depth of 100 mm. It carries a maximum user weight of 150 kg (23.5 stone) and has a Pressure Care Rating: Very High Risk, making it suitable for users who need enhanced pressure redistribution. For fire safety, the cushion components have been tested to BS7177 Crib 5.

For everyday use, position the cushion so the castellated foam sits under the seating area and the base lies flat. The multi‑stretch cover helps the cushion conform to the seat surface and makes adjustments easier.
