The Alerta Sapphire 2 Replacement System is a full replacement alternating pressure-relieving mattress system that pairs 5" air cells with a self‑inflating 2" sealed foam base to produce an in‑use height of 7". The combination gives a steady support surface while allowing the alternating air function to operate effectively. The mattress is intended for use in both home and care settings and offers a practical balance between comfort and function.

The control unit uses SensaCare Truflo Technology® with a microcomputer regulator and constant auto pressure sensing so carers can set the mattress and let it adjust automatically for the user. The pump operates with Ultra‑Silent performance to keep disturbance to a minimum. Cells are independently removable, which makes inspection, cleaning or replacement straightforward without moving the whole mattress.

The system includes practical features for everyday care: covert sealed air, nylon TPU coated cells with micro‑perforation, a multi‑stretch PU cover that is water resistant and vapour permeable, and an antimicrobial, machine washable cover. Additional items such as CPR release, a pillow function, 360° zipper, anchoring straps and a zipped storage bag make handling, emergency access and storage simpler. The system also offers a transport mode and mains cable management to aid day‑to‑day use.
