Proctogram Procedure Chair

The Proctogram Commode Chair is a specialist procedure chair developed by Roma Medical in conjunction with radiographers and manual handling advisors in the NHS. Designed specifically for managing the safe handling of patients undergoing a Proctogram, Proctology, or Defecography procedure, this chair addresses the critical need for falls risk prevention and stability during clinical imaging.

Unlike unstable, traditional products, the Proctogram Chair provides a secure, reliable solution that is easier for the patient to access and egress safely. It features a smart, easy-to-clean design that not only improves safety but also enhances the quality of diagnostic imaging.

• Enhanced Patient Safety: Designed to mitigate falls risk and ensure stability throughout the procedure. It includes anti-tippers and a hand rail mountable on either side.
• Optimised Imaging Quality: Features a rotating seat and back for anteroposterior (AP) imaging, along with a removable back. A copper plate can be mounted to the seat to improve attenuation, allowing for more detail to be seen.
• Ease of Access: Includes a stable folding footplate that allows for easy access to the chair from the floor. There is also a folding footrest available for the swivel seat option (AP Imaging).
• Improved Work Health: Eliminates the strenuous pushing and pulling previously required, making it a piece of equipment that is easy to use and greatly reduces manual handling strain.
