The Compact Evacuation Mat is constructed from durable fabric with an integrated foam pad to provide a more comfortable surface for the person being moved. The padding and fabric together deliver a balance of support and hard-wearing performance so the mat remains practical for frequent use without adding unnecessary bulk.

A single length of full-length webbing runs the unit and encapsulates the head and foot pulling straps, giving carers a clear, strong point to hold during an evacuation. The mat also features enveloping side wings which fold over the person to increase security while they are being transferred.

Moving a person is easier thanks to the low-friction underside, which helps with easy movement across different surfaces such as carpet, vinyl or concrete. This reduces the effort needed by the handler while keeping the mat stable under load.

When not in use the mat folds compactly for simple storage and is fitted with loop handles so it can be hung from a wall to save space. The construction emphasises being exceptionally hard wearing, making the mat a practical choice where storage space and durability matter.
