Bariatric Evacuation Sledge

This Bariatric Evacuation Sledge has been specially designed for the safe and secure evacuation of a disabled or injured person. It features a widened dual foam layer that is able to accommodate for a larger person and a tough base layer to allow it to absorb minor impacts helping to keep the patient comfortable and safe. It is covered with a low-friction material that will slide over common floor surfaces such as carpet, tiles, concrete and stairs. The top layer is much softer and foam padded to maximise comfort and protection to the patient's head and spine. The sledge has straps at either end for one or two helpers to use. When not required, the sledge can be kept in its own pouch and hung from a door or wall. Extra-strong webbing, with a breaking strength of over two tonnes, runs the full length of the unit encapsulating both the head and foot end.
