Made in Great Britain and developed with NHS moving and handling advisors, the chair is intended for repeated use across acute, inpatient and long-term care areas. A key feature is the enhanced opening geometry that provides significantly wider front access, helping during transfers where extra clearance is needed. At the same time, the chair keeps an ultra-low footplate height, which helps users place their feet more easily and securely. The chair's floor-to-seat 520 mm and footplate height 165 mm are helpful measures when planning transfers and choosing suitable equipment.

The Blenheim uses Roma’s Flip-arm mechanism and an open architecture to allow unimpeded access for stand aids and assisted transfers. Arms can be locked upright to make side transfers quicker and safer for both user and carer. In urgent situations, the chair’s layout supports fast evacuation of the user to the floor if needed, and the design keeps access straightforward for carers.

Seating choices include a padded seat and backrest or a plain plastic seat, letting services choose comfort or easy-clean options. Brake choices are the signature ‘Press On – Press Off’ foot-operated pedal brake for locking without bending, or an autobrake fitted at the rear of the seat which is operated by the attendant. Practical touches include a retractable footplate, swivelling front steering castors, foot-operated braked rear castors and a notes and documents holder for staff use.

The chair nests for compact fleet storage and carries a three-year frame warranty. Frame colours are available in Light Grey or Dark Grey, and fabric options include Blue, Green, Purple or Red. Seat style, brake operation and finish should be chosen when ordering to suit the care environment.
