    Detailed description

    The Aktiv X5 Crash Tested Wheelchair uses a modular lightweight aluminium frame that keeps the chair easy to handle while remaining sturdy. Adjustable elements let you change seat width, seat height and backrest angle so the chair adapts to the user. Its foldable frame helps when loading into a car or storing at home, making everyday use less of a chore.

    Comfort features include a supplied padded 50 mm seat cushion and a black nylon tension back with adjustable Velcro straps for a tailored fit. The chair has flip-back, detachable armrests with PU pads and swing-away quick-release leg rests that adjust in length and angle to support different leg positions. Solid tyres and a plastic side panel clothes guard keep maintenance simple for regular use.

    Safety for vehicle travel is a focus: the Aktiv X5 is crash-tested and fitted with an anti-tipper plus a press-button release safety belt to help keep the user secure during transit. The chair weighs about 17.7 kg and supports users up to 140 kg (22 stone). Before carrying a seated user in a vehicle, check that vehicle anchorage points and restraints are suitable for secure installation.
