The Apex Aluma-Lite Plus uses a lightweight aluminium frame to keep the overall unit compact and easy to handle without sacrificing durability. Its well-padded folding seat and supportive backrest combine with rear suspension to smooth out bumps, while the chunky, puncture-proof solid tyres help maintain stability on rougher pavements or gravel.
For car transport and storage, the scooter disassembles into five lightweight pieces, with the heaviest piece weighing 11.6 kgs, so most people can lift and place parts into a boot. A spacious foot platform and simple handlebar controls make getting on, steering and stopping straightforward, and the tiller includes a capacious basket plus rear backrest storage for everyday essentials.
Power comes from a fitted 12Ah lithium-ion battery that is airline-friendly and gives a typical range of up to 10 miles (16 km) on a full charge. There is an optional 30Ah battery upgrade for much longer journeys (up to 25.5 miles / 41 km). The scooter travels at a maximum of 4 mph (6 km/h) and will handle moderate inclines up to 6°.
