Detailed description
Built around a carbon fibre frame, the Motion Nitron Ultra‑Light Carbon Electric Wheelchair focuses on keeping weight to a minimum while remaining strong. It weighs 12.8 kgs excluding the battery, which makes lifting into a car boot or onto public transport far easier. The frame uses a quick-fold mechanism and quick-release components so you can collapse it into a compact bundle that measures 750 x 270 x 725 mm when folded.
Power is supplied by a single 10Ah lithium-ion battery in the Standard model, giving a range of up to 7.5 miles (12 kms). You can charge the battery while it is fitted to the chair or remove the lightweight pack to charge indoors, helping to avoid taking the whole chair into the house. A Plus model is available with an additional battery to extend the range to 15 miles if you need longer outings.
Controls are simple and practical, with an intuitive joystick and digital display for smooth, precise steering. The Nitron turns neatly indoors thanks to a tight 1050 mm turning radius, and flip-up armrests make side transfers easier by removing obstructions at the seat edge. Seat width is 450 mm, giving a clear seating area while keeping the chair slim when folded.
Movement is driven by dual 150W brushless motors, and the Nitron runs on puncture-proof tyres (12" rear, 7" front) for low maintenance. It copes with moderate gradients up to 6° and has 145 mm ground clearance, which helps when negotiating small kerbs and uneven pavements. An optional Bluetooth controller is available for users who want enhanced connectivity.
