The rail height is measured from the base of the mattress, not the floor.

Do you sell padding for it?

Can I use it on a profiling bed?

No, it cannot be used on a profiling bed. Please use a free-standing bed rail instead.

Sold as a pair, these Bed Rails for Divan Beds are very easy to fit and provide excellent protection for those who are at risk of falling. They will fit a variety of bed sizes thanks to their adjustable length and width, which can be set using simple buttons and spring action. They are made from durable steel, plated with chrome and can be used in partnership with bed bumpers for added comfort and protection.

Q. How does it attach to the bed?

A. It fits between the divan base and mattress and is held in place by cross bars and the weight of the mattress. It does not have legs and is not suitable for electric beds.

Q. Is it easy to fold down once fitted?

A. Yes. Once fitted, you just pull the knob at each end and the rail drops down.

Q. How does it fit under the mattress, and will it slide out?

A. It slides under the mattress and both sides are linked by a telescopic, spring-loaded bar to keep it stable and help prevent it sliding out.

Q. Does it screw onto the bed?

A. It does not screw to the bed. It slides under the mattress on flat supports, linked by two cross bars, and is held in place by the mattress weight plus a retaining strap around the divan base.

Q. Will it fit a king size bed?

A. Yes. It fits a UK king size divan bed as long as the base is a solid divan (not slats) and the mattress is heavy enough to hold it in place. Please check the measurements before buying: height 510mm, length 1220–1930mm, width 990–1630mm.
