If you're chronically sick or disabled, VAT relief means you can buy certain items VAT free, which saves you money. Charities can get this benefit too, by just giving their charity number. To qualify, you need to have a long-term health issue that really affects your day-to-day life, a condition that doctors say is ongoing, or be terminally ill. But, it's not for people who are only temporarily disabled (IE Broken Leg) or just elderly.

Getting VAT relief is quite simple. During checkout you just have to say who the items are for and what their health condition is, with no need to show any medical documents, it only takes a few seconds!. But, remember, this only works for certain items made to help out, like mobility scooters, wheelchairs, and bath lifts.
