The Apollo Saturn Rotate is an electrically powered profiling bed that transforms into a chair by rotating 90° and tilting forwards. This movement helps users move between lying, sitting and standing positions with fewer manual transfers, which can reduce the need for carer assistance. The bed keeps the full function of a profiling platform while adding rotation and tilt to support everyday mobility around the bedside.

The bed is available in two corresponding bed and mattress length options: an overall bed length of 2050 mm (approximately 6 ft 8.7 in) with a 1900 mm (approximately 6 ft 3 in) mattress, or an overall bed length of 2350 mm (approximately 7 ft 8.5 in) with a 2200 mm (approximately 7 ft 3 in) mattress. When the bed is in its standing or chair position, its overall width is up to 1550 mm at the furthest extended point. This additional operating space should be considered when deciding where the bed will be installed.

Controls are straightforward for both the user and the carer. A one-button auto-contour and rotation function simplifies complex adjustments, while the supplied hand controller provides convenient operation at the bedside. An auto-regression function reduces pressure on the sacral area during profiling and supports comfort during prolonged use. The rotation can be configured to operate to the left or right during setup so the bed suits room layout and transfer direction.

Safety and practical use are prioritised with built-in features to aid transfers and daily care. The bed includes integrated armrests and a tilt lock safety mechanism that prevents the chair tilting unless the unit is fully rotated. Movement is supported on individually lockable PVC twin castors, and the bed is finished in easy-clean, low-maintenance surfaces to help maintain hygiene in a home or care setting.

Optional cot rails are available but are not supplied as standard. The armrests must be removed before the cot rails can be fitted. When cot rails are installed, they must be fully lowered before rotating the bed. The bed must never be rotated without the armrests securely fitted, so the cot rails must not be used in place of the armrests during rotation.

Comfort and pressure care are addressed with a supplied Very High Risk pressure-relieving mattress featuring a vapour-permeable, multi-stretch cover. The mattress platform measures 900 mm wide. The 2050 mm (approximately 6 ft 8.7 in) bed is supplied with a 1900 mm (approximately 6 ft 3 in) mattress, while the 2350 mm (approximately 7 ft 8.5 in) bed is supplied with a 2200 mm (approximately 7 ft 3 in) mattress. The platform has a height range of 480–880 mm to help carers work at an ergonomic level. The bed supports a maximum user weight of 180 kg (28 st).
