The Aluminium Transit Wheelchair uses a lightweight aluminium frame that keeps the overall unit light while remaining robust. It folds to a compact size for straightforward storage and transport, with a folded width of 310 mm helping it fit into a car boot or tight cupboard. The wheelchair weight is 10.7 kgs (24 lbs), which makes lifting and loading much easier for a carer.

Comfort is given attention with a large seating area and full-length padded armrests, so the user sits more comfortably during short journeys. The seat is wipe-clean to make hygiene simple, and the chair includes swing-away footrests to help with transfers. A one-touch lap belt is supplied as standard to help secure the user when seated.

Mobility and safety are supported by 300 mm (12") puncture-proof rear wheels that are built for durability and low upkeep. The chair has cable brakes that can be operated by carers or users with limited hand strength, and the brakes can be locked when parked to keep the chair secure. The wheelchair accommodates a maximum user weight of 135 kgs (21 stone), making it suitable for many users.
