The Alerta Folding Crash Mat is purpose-built to sit beside a bed and provide a cushioned surface if someone moves or rolls out of bed. The mat has a triple-fold design that makes it straightforward to open and fold away, while the carry handles let a single carer move it when needed. A dense foam core gives the mat a resilient surface intended to absorb impact, and the overall construction is exceptionally durable for frequent use.

The outer finish is a PU wipe-clean cover described as breathable, impermeable and durable, which helps with routine cleaning and maintaining hygiene at the bedside. The mat provides a generous surface area at 1900 mm x 600 mm and a 60 mm thickness to sit neatly beside most standard beds. When folded it takes up much less space, making it practical to store in a cupboard or transport in a car.
