The FLEXEL puncture proof system is an extruded natural rubber compound that replaces the air-filled inner tube in a tyre. As it is a cellular compound and utilises a conventional pneumatic tyre, FLEXEL is capable of offering virtually the same ride characteristics as a fully inflated pneumatic tyre. The need to constantly check tyre pressures is eliminated, and as the tyre is always at the correct ‘pressure’ optimum tyre wear is guaranteed. The patented manufacturing system also enables a high degree of control as to how soft or hard a tyre should be, by the amount of rubber compound that is put into the tyre. The FLEXEL system is available in a range of sizes for two-piece rims which can be fitted without the need for returning your customer’s wheels. The process can also be undertaken on single piece rims at our in-house production facility or produced as an insert for retro fitting.
