Pressure relief is an important aspect of its design and it features a manual air cushion air-pressure system that helps to distribute pressure effectively across the body without the problems of heat gain and excess sweating that are often associated with water-based or foam-based systems. Ideal for Acute, hospice and Homecare environments, the ergonomic and practical design makes it safe and easy to manoeuvre and maintain. The unique, patented design ensures a true lay flat position to aid comfort and also makes the seat safe for use by those suffering from dementia who may need to be protected against falling forward. As a result of its excellent cushioning and pressure distribution, it can also be used as a bed, thereby reducing the number of transfers that may need to be performed. Where transfers are required, the side panels will swing down, giving the carer easier access to the user.
